TRIBOV Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your access to and use of the TRIBOV mobile applications, website, and offline local commerce discovery services.

Agreement to Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using the TRIBOV mobile applications, website, or related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Platform.

About TRIBOV

TRIBOV is operated by TRIBOV Private Limited (Business Address: 2/124, Molappadiyur, Padiyur (PO), Dindigul – 624005, Tamil Nadu, India. Website: https://www.tribov.com | Support Email: support@tribov.com).

TRIBOV provides a local commerce platform through which:

  • Customers can discover nearby shops and offers.
  • Customers can view information about participating shops.
  • Customers can discover and redeem eligible offers at physical shops.
  • Shop owners can register and manage their businesses.
  • Shop owners can create and publish offers.
  • Shop owners can reach customers located near their businesses.

Offline Discovery Platform Scope

TRIBOV currently operates as an offline local offers and discovery platform. TRIBOV does not currently operate as an online marketplace for delivery, online checkout, or direct online purchase of products or services.

Definitions

For the purpose of these Terms & Conditions:

  • "Platform" means the TRIBOV website, Customer App, Shop Owner App, software, features, and related services.
  • "Customer" means a person who uses TRIBOV to discover shops, businesses, offers, or related information.
  • "Shop Owner" means a business owner or authorised representative who registers a physical shop or business on TRIBOV.
  • "Shop" means a physical retail store, business, establishment, or other eligible business listed on TRIBOV.
  • "Offer" means a discount, promotion, deal, benefit, or other promotional opportunity created by a Shop Owner through TRIBOV.
  • "Redemption" means the process through which a Customer uses an eligible Offer at a participating physical Shop.
  • "Verification" means TRIBOV's process of reviewing information and documents submitted by a Shop Owner for the purpose of verifying the business.

Eligibility and Account Registration

TRIBOV is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using TRIBOV, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.
  • You will keep your account information updated.
  • You will not create an account using false information or impersonate another person or business.
  • You will not create fraudulent or duplicate accounts for abusive purposes.
  • You are responsible for activities performed through your account.

Authentication Provider Notice

TRIBOV uses mobile-number-based OTP authentication. OTPs may be delivered through our authentication service provider, MSG91. You are responsible for keeping access to your registered mobile number secure.

Customer Terms

Permitted Usage

  • Discover nearby shops and browse available offers.
  • View shop information, offer details, and terms.
  • Save or interact with offers where available.
  • Redeem eligible offers at participating physical shops.

Customer Obligations

  • Use TRIBOV only for lawful purposes.
  • Follow the specific conditions of each Offer.
  • Not misuse or manipulate Offers or create fraudulent redemptions.
  • Not attempt to duplicate, sell, transfer, or commercially exploit Offers unless expressly permitted.
  • Respect participating Shop Owners and their employees.

Shop Owner Terms

Shop Owners using TRIBOV must:

  • Provide accurate business information, address, location, and business hours.
  • Provide genuine and valid documents when requested and keep records updated.
  • Create genuine and accurate Offers with clearly stated conditions.
  • Honour valid Offers according to the published terms.
  • Comply with all applicable Indian laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Possess necessary rights, licences, and authority to operate the business and upload logos and photographs.

Shop Owners are solely responsible for the products and services offered, sold, or redeemed at their physical establishments.

Business Verification

TRIBOV may verify Shop Owners and their businesses before granting public visibility or specific features. Depending on requirements, requested documents may include:

  • GST-related registration documents.
  • MSME / Udyam-related registration certificates.
  • Aadhaar information or identity verification documents.
  • Business address verification and physical store proofs.
  • Other documents reasonably required for merchant authenticity.

TRIBOV's verification is a platform verification process. It does not constitute a government licence, regulatory certification, professional endorsement, or warranty regarding product quality, legality, or performance.

Shop Owner Subscription Plans and Billing

TRIBOV may offer different subscription tiers to Shop Owners, including free and paid tiers. Where paid subscriptions are introduced:

  • Shop Owners must provide accurate billing and tax information.
  • Subscription charges and renewal terms will be communicated prior to purchase.
  • Shop Owners may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel plans based on available options.
  • Access to premium features may adjust upon expiration, cancellation, or payment failure.
  • Refunds and cancellations are subject to applicable policy terms and Indian law.

Offer and Boost Credits

TRIBOV may grant promotional or Boost Credits to promote eligible Offers within the Platform:

  • Credits may be issued as part of plans or promotional campaigns.
  • Credits may have expiration dates and are non-transferable between accounts.
  • Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or currency.
  • Unused credits expire according to the applicable promotion or plan.

Offers

Shop Owners are responsible for the accuracy of their created Offers. Each Offer must clearly state its title, discount, eligible products, validity period, eligibility, and redemption limitations.

Offers must strictly NOT be false, misleading, fraudulent, illegal, deceptive, or designed to manipulate customers.

TRIBOV reserves the right to review, reject, modify, suspend, or remove any Offer that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Offer Redemption

The general TRIBOV redemption flow is:

Discover Offer → Visit Physical Shop → Present/Use Offer → Shop Validates Offer → Purchase/Receive Benefit → Redemption Recorded

Customers must satisfy all Offer conditions. Shop Owners validate the Offer on-site. TRIBOV records redemption data to manage promotions and prevent fraud.

Offer Modification and Cancellation

Shop Owners may modify, pause, or cancel Offers through the Merchant Platform.

TRIBOV may also suspend or remove an Offer if it violates Terms, contains inaccuracies, creates fraud risks, or if the account is suspended.

Customers should always review an Offer’s active terms before visiting the store for redemption.

Transactions Between Customers and Shops

TRIBOV provides discovery and offer services. The actual purchase and commercial transaction occurs directly between the Customer and the Shop at the physical location.

  • TRIBOV does not sell or own the Shop’s inventory.
  • TRIBOV does not provide delivery or courier logistics.
  • TRIBOV does not process offline customer-to-merchant payments.
  • TRIBOV does not guarantee or determine product/service quality.

Any dispute concerning purchased merchandise or store services must be resolved directly with the merchant.

Pricing, Discounts and Accuracy

Shop Owners are responsible for ensuring listed prices, discounts, and terms are genuine, lawful, and accurately reflect in-store pricing.

TRIBOV displays merchant-submitted data but does not independently certify every price or inventory count, and reserves the right to remove non-compliant listings.

Reviews and User-Generated Content

Where user ratings, reviews, photos, or comments are enabled, submissions must be genuine, lawful, non-defamatory, non-infringing, and based on actual experiences.

TRIBOV reserves the right to remove abusive, fake, or manipulated reviews and restrict violating accounts.

User and Shop Content Licences

Users and merchants confirm they own or possess licences for uploaded media, photos, and descriptions.

By posting content, you grant TRIBOV a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and distribute it solely to operate, maintain, and promote the Platform, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Prohibited Activities

Users and merchants must strictly not engage in:

  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating other individuals or businesses.
  • Submitting fraudulent documents or publishing deceptive offers.
  • Manipulating redemption counts or abusing promotional credits.
  • Attempting unauthorised access, scraping platform databases, or injecting malware.
  • Reverse engineering software or interfering with platform operations.
  • Harassing other users or conducting illegal business transactions.

Fraud and Abuse Prevention

TRIBOV actively monitors Platform operations to safeguard users, merchants, and system integrity. We may investigate:

  • Suspicious or artificially inflated redemption patterns.
  • Multiple or duplicate accounts created for promotional manipulation.
  • Unverified or fabricated business storefronts and documents.
  • Promotional credit abuse or attempts to bypass security controls.

TRIBOV reserves the right to restrict access, freeze credits, suspend storefront visibility, and terminate accounts involved in fraudulent activity.

Account Suspension and Termination

TRIBOV may suspend or terminate account access for Terms violations, fraudulent submissions, illegal conduct, security risks, or repeated policy infractions.

Where appropriate, notice or an opportunity to resolve issues may be provided. Obligations incurred prior to termination remain in effect.

Intellectual Property

The TRIBOV name, trademarks, logos, software, mobile applications, user interface, graphics, and proprietary databases are owned by or licensed to TRIBOV Private Limited and protected by Indian intellectual property legislation.

Reproduction, reverse engineering, unauthorized data extraction, or commercial re-distribution without express written consent is prohibited.

Third-Party Services Architecture

To provide secure, reliable mobile and web experiences, TRIBOV integrates specialized technical infrastructure providers:

  • MSG91 – Secure mobile OTP transmission and phone authentication.
  • Firebase (Google) – Real-time push notifications and application messaging.
  • Google Maps – Interactive geolocation mapping, distance, and routing services.
  • Supabase – Enterprise application database and encrypted storage infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics – Aggregated usage analytics and platform optimization.

Data Processing Integrity

Service providers process limited technical information strictly on behalf of TRIBOV to deliver their functions. TRIBOV does not authorize providers to use data independently, and does not sell personal information.

Location Information

With explicit device permission, TRIBOV collects and processes GPS location data to display nearby merchants, calculate approximate distances, and power hyper-local deal discovery.

You may revoke location permissions at any time in device settings, though distance-sorted features may then be limited.

Cookies and Authentication Technologies

The TRIBOV website and portal utilize essential security cookies and session tokens to maintain authenticated sessions, secure forms, and prevent cross-site scripting.

You can manage cookies through browser settings, though disabling essential tokens may affect account login.

Internal Advertisements and Promotions

TRIBOV displays curated internal promotions for registered merchants, featured offers, and app updates.

TRIBOV does not utilize external ad tracking networks inside the application and never sells user profile data to commercial advertisers.

Platform Availability

While we strive for 24/7 uptime, service may occasionally be interrupted for scheduled maintenance, security upgrades, network faults, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, TRIBOV is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties regarding individual shop stock, merchant hours, uninterrupted connectivity, or off-platform interactions.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permissible by law, TRIBOV Private Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from store visits, offline purchases, or merchant disputes.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TRIBOV Private Limited, its directors, and staff against claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your violation of these Terms, uploaded content infringement, or unlawful app usage.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of TRIBOV is governed by our Privacy Policy, which details personal data collection, encryption, shop verification processing, and your statutory rights under Indian law.

Account Deletion and Data Retention

Users can request account deletion in-app or via support@tribov.com. Deletion is handled in accordance with Indian regulations and our data retention schedule.

Retention for Security & Compliance

Account deletion does not mean every transactional record is immediately wiped from system logs. Certain audit records, transaction proofs, and fraud prevention identifiers are retained as required by Indian tax, consumer protection, and security laws.

Changes to Terms and Services

TRIBOV may revise these Terms to reflect service enhancements, business model changes, or updated statutory guidelines. Continued use following notification constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
